The new 16,190 SF free-standing fire station is centrally located in the City for the Kinston Fire Department response. Once completed, fire staff were relocated from the previous historic location adjacent to Kinston City Hall to the new fire station. It is slab-on-grade, with a combination of steel frame and load-bearing concrete masonry wall structure. Exterior finishes include brick masonry and an exposed fastener metal panel system.
